Hedrick Grading was established in 1959 by Lowell T. Hedrick Sr. In the beginning, Lowell created logging roads and logging decks for local timber companies along with doing some farming to fill in the voids. Later on, the demand for Lowell's services evolved to clearing land and building local roads for housing developments in Davidson County. By 1990, he began to share his trade with his son Lanny, whom has worked along him since a young age. Lanny took a lot of interest in the company on both sides, business and daily operations, helping the business steadily grow into what we have become today. Lowell passed away May 30th, 2014, and til this day his principles of integrity, quality and customer service are the driving force behind each and every employee that had the honor to know Lowell Hedrick.
Today we use the latest in construction technology and green building practices, enabling us to be on the forefront of innovation. We specialize in commercial building, office parks, municipality work and shopping complexes as well as residential communities. We pride our selves on our ability to form productive relationships with business and government. We build everything with honesty, integrity, and a solid commitment to quality. We never sacrifice quality for profit. In fact, our properties produce more revenue due to the reputation we have earned. We build property with the end consumer in mind, allowing investors to profit and consumers to live comfortably.
Leadership
Tammy Hedrick was raised in Davidson County as the daughter of a general contractor and school administrator. After she received her B.S. in Industrial Relations from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, she and her husband Lanny Hedrick worked along side Lowell Hedrick at Hedrick Grading. She put her skills to use building customer relationships. In 2015, Tammy received NC HUB and NC WBE certification. Tammy is the financial driving force as the Owner of L.T. Hedrick Construction. She is the model of all of our relationships, internally and externally with affability towards our customers and employees alike. Tammy enjoys running, entertaining and spending time with her family.
Lanny Hedrick was raised in Davidson County as the son of Lowell and Rachel Hedrick. He began at an early age helping his father, Lowell, in the grading business. His father taught him the value of hard work, attention to detail, and creating personal relationships with the clients that carry on well after the completion of the project. Lanny also has a personal relationship with all of his employees. Like his wife Tammy, he always greets you with a smile and employee input is highly valued. Lanny is an avid golfer and outdoors-man who has passed along these passions to his children.
Kevin Spencer joined Hedrick Grading in 2008 with a background in contracting and estimating. He has been a vital part in the growth of the former Hedrick Grading and Paving, now L. T. Hedrick Construction Company. Kevin's role is estimating future development and project managing current projects. Kevin enjoys spending time with his family and friends, while managing to pursue his love for golf and the outdoors in his spare time.

Belinda recently joined L.T. Hedrick Construction Company full time. Her years of experience have allowed the company to thrive effectively and more efficiently. Belinda's help allows daily operations to flow smoothly from the office to the field. She is an active member of her church and enjoys spending time with her family.
Kevin Athey joined Hedrick Grading in 2006. He brought several years of experience in grading and paving and worked as an operator for several years. He was then promoted to project superintendent in 2015, when we recognized his strengths in customer relations and project organization. Although the requirements of a project superintendent are paper-heavy, he prides himself on being a hands-on superintendent and is usually seen on a piece of equipment. Kevin is an avid hunter and enjoys spending time with his family.
Ethan Conrad was raised in Davidson County. From the time Ethan was a young child, he would always be found around his grandfather's garage or on a piece of equipment enabling to become a highly skilled mechanic and operator at an early age. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Soil Science. Ethan was quickly recognized to have the abilities necessary to be a project superintendent. He is an avid outdoors-man and enjoys spending time with his wife and dogs.
Brandon Beck
Crew Leader
Brandon Beck was raised in Davidson County and joined L.T. Hedrick Construction Company in 2013. He is a skilled operator with the knowledge of how to run many different pieces of equipment. Brandon enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is admired by all and amongst his peers he has the reputation of an extremely hard worker.
Billy Owen
Crew Leader
Billy has many years of experience in the construction business. As a foreman and a crew leader he understands what it takes to get the job done. Under his leadership crew members understand how to tackle the tasks at hand. In his spare time, Billy enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Johnathan Queen
Crew Leader
Johnathan is a hard working individual and his attention to detail is consistent with the quality of work expected by L.T. Hedrick Construction. This has allowed him to become a crew leader for the company. Johnathan has a passion for the outdoors and also spending time with his family.
Wandi Rosales
Crew Leader, Mechanic
Wandi Rosales joined L.T. Hedrick in 2012. From a young age he learned the skills of mechanic work and operating equipment. He has the ability to fix each piece of equipment he operates. Throughout the company Wandi is known for his hard work.
